Every year, we survey currently enrolled families about their opinions of our programs and ways we can improve. We also survey parents of students who’ve graduated to ask about their transition to elementary school. We beam with pride when we hear the success stories, and we take very seriously any suggestions for improvement. Here’s a quick look at the survey results and a few of the changes we have made based on parents’ input.
Some Heartwarming Highlights!
Current parents who responded to this year’s survey gave SSH an overall satisfaction rating of 96%! They described positive ways our program has enhanced their children’s lives with responses like these:
“My child loves SSH and is always counting down the days until she goes again. She is developing a love of the Spanish language and enjoys all aspects of her day at SSH. She is also becoming more confident and less self-conscious.”
“My daughter is much more willing to share with others and looks forward to social interaction with other kids. Each week she will surprise us with a new word or new behavior we did not teach her.”
“We have two children attending and more than anything else they feel like they are among family while at school. They miss their teachers and friends during breaks. Our kids love the affection they are shown and try to improve their behavior and progress because they respect the whole staff.”
“Our son is more thoughtful, he seems to pause and think about his actions. He’s more aware of his surroundings including friends and animals.”
“My older child developed a love for school and her teachers because of SSH. I believe her education at SSH helped her to become successful as she transitioned to kinder. She loved all of her teachers. My younger child has a rich vocabulary in Spanish and English. She loves her teachers and we have developed a good relationship with them as well. We feel like a family environment which is a huge blessing and you cannot find everywhere.”

Even though we receive glowing reports, we also use surveys to find opportunities to improve. Here are just a few…
- Adding extended operating hours at many locations
- Creating location-specific Facebook pages so that parents can see events and activities at their local school
- Implementing new communication procedures and feedback tools to better meet parent needs
- Sharing links to our school songs in the monthly newsletter so families can enjoy the music at home
We Appreciate the Feedback
Thanks to ALL who responded to this year’s survey. We are honored to have the privilege of caring for your precious children each day!! Our highest priority is to offer a SAFE and LOVING, family-like environment, and many, many parents tell us that is the best part of our school. We also teach preschool skills and the Spanish language, but being in a loving and supportive environment provides the foundation upon which students learn, develop self-confidence, and blossom!
